Dear Wharton Alumni |
|
As an alumnus of Wharton Advanced Management Program, I am particularly proud that Tel-Aviv-Yafo will be hosting the Wharton-Israel Global Alumni Conference. Tel-Aviv-Yafo, the hub of the Dan metropolitan area, is Israel's beating heart and economic center. In the financial and banking industries, for example the city's status is solid and incontestable. Related services are of a very high standard and provide complete support for almost every kind of business activity. The Israeli stock market, venture capital funds, Export institute and international trade offices are centered here, In Tel Aviv-Yafo. The high-tech revolution finds its tangible expression in the number of firms active within the city limits, and in the accelerated development of high-tech industrial parks such as Kiriat Atidim and Ramat Ha-hayal. At the beginning of the new century, Tel-Aviv-Yafo was even given the honor of being ranked as one of the top ten high-tech centers in the world. The Tel-Aviv-Yafo convention and exhibition center is the largest in Israel, and hosts dozens of events from all over the world. The Tel-Aviv University, along with the many colleges active in the city, have created a center of advanced education and centers for the promotion of the arts that are a source of pride to us all. Of course, one cannot ignore the city's vibrant entertainment and recreational activities, its huge variety of art, cultural and sporting events - all of which continue around the clock, 365 days a year. The data is indeed impressive, and yet the city is still far from exhausting its full potential, in every respect. Tel-Aviv-Yafo is an unending source of business entrepreneurship in all areas. There is still much development work to be done, and we are doing everything we can to encourage entrepreneurs and hasten their arrival in the city. We therefore invest in infrastracture and in construction of an advanced transportation network, hasten licensing procedures and assist in giving any information required. I invite all Wharton Alumni from around the globe to come to Tel-Aviv-Yafo to see for themselves the rich variety of economic and cultural opportunities it offers. You too will realize that when it comes to business, our city has no equal. Yours sincerely,
